Development Projects

13th Apr 2012Portfolio

Confluence
To aid in the development process Confluence integrates with other Atlassian products, JIRA & Fisheye to provide web based documentation with the ability to export to PDF, Word and HTML.
I developed a method for exporting using plugins such as Scroll Office and Confluence directly to produce material in accordance with design specifications.

Selenium
Coupled with Amazon Web Services (AWS) I developed an automated method of running testing procedures which upload results throughout to AWS for storage & inclusion in online documentation.
Using Python scripting Selenium is able to control the web browser to navigate websites, fill in forms and take screenshots in order to document it’s progress.

During my final year at university I studied a module titled Designing & Developing e-Learning Systems.

This was broken down into three pieces of work, primarily an investigation into enquiry based learning. Download the PDF; DDEL Assignment 1 - The use of synchronous technology to support the delivery of EBL to campus and distance learning base students. (2503)

Next came the design of a prototype system for teaching the Database Systems module to second year students. Download the PDF; DDEL Assignment 2 - Learning Analysis & Design (2286)

Finally our prototype design was implemented and can be found at; http://www.marksweb.co.uk/ddel
